About Me
I’m a fifth generation pipe organ builder, father, fairly accomplished “home” cook, sometime tennis-player and a few other things. Chances are you know this about me already.
My wife Susan is an accomplished Architect, and we live together with our children, one cat and one dog in a restored farmhouse in East Haddam, Connecticut. Susan and I are members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. I occasionally help out there, but most of my volunteer work right now is for AIO, AGO and APOBA.
Apart from a brief sojourn at Auburn University in the late 1980s, I lived in Yonkers, New York until relocating to Connecticut in 1996.
My life is consumed by my comittments to family and career, and while I may grumble about it on occasion, I like it that way and would not trade it for anything. I love being a father, I am blessed with an amazing wife and I love what I do for a living.
I have been on (and am now off of) sites like Facebook and Myspace. I have my reasons; among them social networking (and its annoying attendant issues) just no longer being my thing. Twitter is my lone concession.
My company has its own website which I developed in 1995 and maintain and now in its fifth or sixth iteration. I occasionally entertain thoughts of a major redesign and then quickly come back to reality.
I resisted having a personal site for a long time, mostly because I did not have the time, and with a business site, felt I didn’t need one. Still, there are times I wanted to share things with my friends, family and colleagues that just didn’t seem appropriate for my official company site. Thus the creation of this online space.
When I first set up here, I posted more frequently. These days I just put up the occasional photo and let my Twitter feed do the rest. I may resume posting someday, but unless I get a bee in my bonnet, don’t hold your breath. I have some fairly evolved thoughts about my business which you may read here, but I should warn you it is not very exciting.
Feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment, though please understand that I can’t always respond to emails right away and my comments are moderated.
